Hi teachers (and students)! Have you been hearing about Augmented Reality in education lately? I certainly have! I wanted to learn a little about it... so I could share with some of you that are wondering about it (and educate myself in the process. So.... what exactly is Augmented Reality (AR)? Augmented Reality is a technology that superimposes a computer-generated image on a user's view of the real world, thus providing a composite view. That definition was a little confusing, so I did some YouTubing to get some ideas. Check out these videos! An example of Augmented Reality -BBC Frozen Planet augmented reality exhibition during Wildscreen 2012. Location - Bristol Museum and Art Gallery An example of Augmented Reality technology:How can you create an Augmented Reality experience? Here a video that will walk you through the steps! It looks like Augmented Reality could be an amazing thing for classrooms. I am interested to see if this catches on! Did you give it a try?
